Very soon, in ten cities nationwide, Audi will premiere the "Streets of Tomorrow" Ride and Drive Experience - a series of unique driving experiences that feature an in-depth introduction to the all new 2007 Audi Q7, the full Audi model line, as well as lifestyle experiences that reflect the Never Follow thinking at Audi. Held at distinctive venues, each luxury Ride and Drive is designed to highlight the innovative technology, design, performance, and safety features embodied by the 2007 Audi Q7, the thrilling new RS 4, and all Audi vehicles. Participants will have the opportunity to take the wheel of the Audi Q7 on an urban drive of city roads and freeways. You will be able to take any one of our full line of luxury vehicles on a quattro(R) handling course, complete with slalom, rockslide, rough corner, and skid pad areas. Enjoy the thrill of an all-new 2007 RS 4 on our timed performance course, with slalom, accident avoidance, and straightaway maneuvers. (Closed circuit courses not available in Los Angeles and San Diego; urban drive includes an array of Audi vehicles.)
The performance course will be a timed course using the Race America computerized timing system. Approximately 1/3 mile long you will be able to experience the all-around handling of the all-new 2007 RS 4 and performance of the engine, brakes and suspension -- the awesome performance of the Audi.
The quattro(R) course will feature elements for acceleration, slalom, evasive maneuvering, and a twisting area with various speeds - all demonstrating all-around handling and performance of the Audi Q7 and other Audi vehicles. There will also be a large, low friction/traction area to demonstrate Audi's famous quattro(R) system. This is a Teflon-coated surface coated with soap and water that has traction much like snowy asphalt.
While each stop along the Ride and Drive Tour clearly provides a thrilling driving experience, not all the pleasures will take place on the course. Participants will be introduced to Audi product experts that can answer all of your questions about our latest technologies and product, as well as describe our innovative Motorsports program, including the introduction of our winning new diesel powered R10 TDI(R) race car. You will also experience the latest offerings of Audi luxury partners, including Bang & Olufsen, Abercrombie & Kent, and Ducati. A cafe area will feature culinary specialties from prominent local chefs. There will be live performances by local musical artists, artisans, and other entertaining experts.
