Responding to the devastation of Hurricane Rita, Audi Financial Services, the finance arm of Audi of America, Inc., has announced that they will defer payments, forgo late charges and suspend interest for their customers affected by the disaster. Earlier this month, this same assistance was extended to Hurricane Katrina victims and is still available.
Audi Financial Services customers living in counties of Louisiana and Texas that have been declared disaster areas by the Federal Emergency Management Agency will have their retail loans automatically extended and lease payments deferred for 90 days from their most recent due dates. Additionally, customers will not be responsible for late charges during this period.
For those customers whose 1998 or newer Audi vehicle was destroyed by Hurricane Rita or Katrina, Audi is offering $1,000 toward the purchase or lease of a new Audi model. This offer to customers affected by Hurricane Rita is good toward sales between September 27 and December 31, 2005 and is not retroactive. This offer to Hurricane Katrina victims is good toward sales between September 1 and December 31, 2005 and is not retroactive. This assistance applies toward the purchase or lease of new, unreported, and untitled 2005 or 2006 Audi vehicles.
